GAME partner with Gallucks to promote Pokemon

90% of gamers check YouTube at least once a week for news and info, making it a platform synonymous with gamers. In order for the gaming sector grow at scale however it is important a broader strategy is taken on, especially with the majority of gamers citing Facebook as their social media platform of choice and 6/10 millennials active on Instagram. Growing a community on both to an engaged audience is important for any new product launch.

So when it came to Pokémon’s Sun & Moon launch, which GAME our approach was multi-platform. This was a launch GAME naturally wanted to shout about, a phenomenon which has transcended the world of gamers into the mainstream.

Challenge

GAME wanted to work with someone passionate, credible and authentic that would raise awareness for the release of Pokémon Sun & Moon within an audience GAME would not normally be able to tap into. Joel is a natural creator, meaning he was able to create content around Pokemon and Game that captured and excited his audience, encouraging engagement to his posts.

Approach

With an eye for design and fashion Gallucks is also an avid gamer, with a soft spot for Pokemon. With a captive audience who have interests as varied as his, it makes him a natural choice for us to partner with GAME.

As a YouTuber Gallucks is well versed in the creation of video content and hosted a Facebook Live video to give an exclusive first look at the game.

Results

– 13.5k Live Views
– ER of 3.6% on Instagram. His norm being around the 3.1% mark, showing a substantial increase. which is unusual for branded content.
– Customer facing, authentic match up.
