This morning we were invited onto BBC News; Worklife to talk about whether influencer marketing is here to stay.
This is one of the questions we get asked the most and albeit biased, our answer is yes.
According to Nielson, $2BN was spent on advertising in 2018 and that is set to rise to $10BN by the end of 2020 and with 75% of Gen-Z wanting to become YouTubers, bloggers and vloggers when they’re older… we really are just at the tipping point.
2020 will see influencer marketing becoming more integral within the overall marketing mix, with more and more brands striving to work with influencers that authentically align with their business; because, if you use the right influencers, on the right platforms – it drives great results.
Next year, we’ll also continue to see the rise of influencers on different platforms such as podcasts, TikTok, Kyra TV; it’s no longer just about YouTube and Instagram.
